Harsh times appear to be awaiting for us, and we need to be prepared. Because of wars and economic crises, it’s likely that there’s going to be famine in many parts of the world, and for some people this is going to be a terrible experience.

Don’t expect things to get better, especially at the level of spiritual life. Because of hunger, poverty, fear, and despair, lots of evil is going to surface in society. Many more are going to become corrupt, cunning, and tricksters, many are going to lie and sell their brothers and sisters for money or for a job, many are going to fall prey to all sorts of temptations, and many are going to become violent. There’s going to be more injustice, more inequality, more lies, and more fake news.

As I said it before, this is not a story of survival. Your mind may have been formatted by the many reality shows, feature films, documentaries, and books about how to survive, how to adapt to different conditions, and how to learn new skills. If there is a mission for you now, that’s not your survival.I mean, not your physical survival. If there is a test you’re going to take, that’s not the test of your staying alive. There’s trial, and it’s about how much love you have in your heart. Your mission is the survival of your neighbour. You win if you learn how to sacrifice yourself.

Did you think you win if you learn how to amass all the things you need? No. You win if you learn how to give. How to give more. You think you win if you surround yourself by a wall? No. You win if you go out and seek the needy and help them.

You may ask, how can I offer anything if I have so little? Well, that’s the Law, and it’s really paradoxical: You need to offer precisely those things that you don’t have! If you feel you’re peniless all the time, then start offering money. If you feel you’re so busy you never have enough time to do all the things you must do, then start offering time. If you feel weak, start offering your strength.

Don’t be afraid. You’re not alone. You will be strengthened. You will receive help once you start offering with love and as long as you persevere in it.

This is war, indeed, and it’s spiritual. The battle is for your soul, not for your physical survival. Just make sure you don’t lose your soul. Don’t let the love in your heart go dry.
